are you new to receiving care?

Care is not always the easiest thing to talk about. Deciding on the right care needs discussion and consideration between you and your family. Perhaps you live away and you have started to notice that your Mum is struggling since the loss of your Dad?  Maybe your child needs some support to access the local community whilst you go to work?

What is home care?

Home care is a great solution for you if you are needing extra help, but want to remain living independently, in the familiar surroundings of your own home. It provides relief to you and your family members, when everyone is settled and supported by a wonderful CAREPal from Happiest at Home.

At Happiest at Home, we tailor our range of services to suit your individual needs from a few hours per week up to a full live-in care package. We also match our CAREPal to the person who needs the support, to ensure that they get along and are able to build a long term and trusted relationship.

Quite simply it’s a package of support that allows you or a loved one to stay living in your own home. You may just need company, or someone to clean the house and cook meals for you or trips into the community to go shopping or visit friends.  It is whatever you want it to be, you decide.

Preparing for home care

Talking about care for the first time in someone’s life care be daunting for the person who needs the help and their immediate family. However, it is very important to have an open discussion so that the persons’ needs are fully understood and assessed. The discussion is usually triggered by a change in circumstances; an event such as a fall, bereavement or signs of struggling to do tasks that once were not a problem, or a family member needing time away from ther caring role.

Starting small with just a few hours per week can give you the extra help needed and avoid you or a loved one having to go into a residential home. The continuity of care that we will provide, will help monitor your loved ones, giving you peace of mind that they are well cared for and happy.
